How AI follow-up gives builders their evenings back
Builders lose evenings and weekends to messages that could have been answered, sorted and booked automatically. Used well, an AI assistant takes the repetitive part of follow-up off your plate.
What an AI assistant is good at
- Answering common questions about services, areas and process, at any hour.
- Asking a few qualifying questions: suburb, type of job, timing and rough budget.
- Offering a booking time and sending a confirmation.
- Passing the full conversation to you so you can pick up where it left off.
What it should not do
It should not quote complex work, make promises about price or timing, or handle anything urgent or sensitive. Those conversations belong with a person, and a good setup hands them over quickly.
Keep it honest and safe
- Be upfront that visitors are chatting with an automated assistant.
- Give people an easy way to reach a human.
- Collect only what you need, and explain how it is used in your privacy policy.
See it in action
The chat window on this site is a simple example of the idea: it answers common questions and lets you book a call. A tailored version for your business can also follow up new enquiries automatically, so leads do not go cold while you are on the tools.
